Phonics and early reading
At Mount Charles School, we believe that strong early reading skills open the door to a lifetime of learning. Our systematic Read, Write, Inc. phonics programme gives children the tools they need to decode words with confidence, develop fluency, and build a rich vocabulary.
Through engaging, carefully structured lessons and a love of storytelling, we nurture curiosity and help every child become an enthusiastic, capable reader from the very start of their school journey.
